What to do when you get the Ukash Virus
Hi everyone,
Wanted to give you some helpful info if you or someone you know get the Ukash virus
1. Disconnect your ethernet line from your machine or modem
2. Turn off computer, wait 10 mins before you turn it back, don`t use the restart option.
3. When you boot up computer hit F8 continually (about 5 or 6 times), if your operating system starts to load you didn't hit F8 enough times, you will need to shut off computer again.
4. Hitting F8 will brings you to a page where you are asked if you want to use "safe mode", you want to use safe mode with not with networking.
If you have Windows XP follow steps 1 and 2.
3. When it starts a pop up will appear asking about system restore, XP pick no as recommended, that will start your system restore.
4. Look for a restore date and click it, then click next.
Once the system restore does the voodoo that it does your computer will turn off and restart on its own, don`t interupt it at all. Once it restarts the system restore will tell you if it was successfull or not, click ok. The system restore will dissapear and it should loasd up.
if all is good and no Ukash or any problems plug your ethernet back in and your good to go.
